Forget about Rock, Pop, Rap and other vocal noises. The Torch is a Cabaret featuring live performers singing songs that we can understand every word (from old and contemporary Broadway tunes to popular ballads and non screaming repertoires). Debi Benson instantly mezmerizes everyone in the room not only because of her exceptionally powerful voice but also because she sings from her guts and her heart directly to you as if you were the only one in the room. Chris Barrett and Robert Pagano are exceptional piano-bar like entertainers singing uplifting songs like the party can go on forever.

I told people how lucky we were to have this beautiful new night
club right here in our own neighborhood instead of having to schlep
all the way up to Palm Beach to the Kravis Center or The Colony to see
this kind of elegant and sophisticated entertainment.
I know that Beth Holland plans to go there this weekend, with a friend
or two -- while I'm off on my cruise -- to see Debi Benson. Then,
when I return from the cruise, Beth and I plan to go back together to
see Debi. We are anxious to learn more about "Debi Benson's
Broadway".

Whenever people talk about artists there is always the desire to compare them to their celebrity counterparts. While one could easily compare Benson’s voice to Streisand’s range, or the joy in her voice to Ella Fitzgerald, it’s unnecessary. Her voice, performance, and energy are all uniquely hers.
